LinkedIn recently announced they will be rolling out some changes to their People You May Know feature to make it easier to grow your network. You can see the new features by using this link.

The first thing you will notice is the change to the interface. The new, 2 column list continues to grow as you scroll, so you don’t have to click back and forth between pages (some other sites refer to this as “endless scroll”).

You can easily filter the list by your association with the people listed by clicking on the organization names and/or logos in the top row (indicated by the red arrow below)

You can invite people to connect “in-line”, meaning you stay right on this screen (rather than being taken to a new page) when you click on the Connect button. So far, I think this is my favorite feature of the new interface.

According to LinkedIn, they have also worked hard to improve the accuracy and relevance of their recommendations by taking into account factors like your existing network, past workplaces, and where you’ve gone to school.

What do you think of the new People You May Know feature? Have you found any helpful tips or tricks that I forgot to include?
